Truly a unique and beautiful Porsche 911 and 912 brochure of the Targa version from September 1965.

In 1965 Ferdinand Alexander Porsche (son of Ferry Porsche, grandson of Ferdinand Porsche) was asked to design a new "open" Porsche 911 / 912 to continue the tradition of the convertible. This design was not easy, as the 901 series bodywork derived much of its rigidity from the roof. Without a roof, the body had a weak point just behind the doors. This was solved by installing a roll bar. This roll bar was clad in stainless steel and became part of the flowing line.

Porsche called the design Targa, named after the Targa Florio races in Sicily, which were so successful for Porsche. The Targa went into production in December 1966. The first cars received a zip-out soft-window rear window.

This brochure, which is now 57 years old, is in good condition with light signs of use according to age. Unfortunately, the brochure has pin holes on a few corners of the pages (see photos). A pity, but much less serious than a perforation. The brochure is multilingual (German and English) and consists of 6 pages, including cover.

Print number: W 225

In summary, a special brochure for every Porsche enthusiast! Hard to find in this condition for this price.
